Exactly what is positive thinking?

Positive thinking is a skill that anyone can acquire. By learning the process of positive thinking, you can more easily reach your goals, whether they are personal goals or professional ones. It is a skill that often needs developing. It seems that the majority of people do not think positive, they tend to dwell on everything that is negative.

So, exactly what is positive thinking? Quite simply, it is when your internal thoughts are positive, encouraging thoughts. It is basically the voice in your head thinking good things instead of bad, negative things. So, why does it matter what the voice in your head says or what it sounds like?

Positive thinking will change your outlook on life and your overall  attitude. You can go from being a worry wart or a pessimist to being upbeat and optimistic, just by changing the way you think about things! You will succeed in life, you will be more likable and good things will  start to happen to you! Experiences of joy seep into your everyday circumstance. You no longer become a victim of life but a creator of your own destiny.

Take daily steps towards anything that creates positive momentum for you. Once you have established a foundation of positive activities though consistency… you create massive momentum of positivity which soon sparks more and more positive thoughts. The effects are happiness, joy and peace.

So, how can you change the way you think? It may take some practice, but in time you will be able to change your thinking or your inner voice.  Positive thinking does not just happen, you need to first be mindful of it. When you are thinking to yourself,  really examine what that voice sounds like and continue to listen to it. When you become familiar with it, you can start to change it. Rather than saying to yourself “I  can’t do that,” say “I can do that!” Even if you know  that there is a slight chance that you can’t! And everyday, continue to challenge and to push yourself to do better and to think better. In time, it will become a habit and you will not even need to think about it any more.

Positive thinking and a positive attitude is contagious. Do you ever find yourself feeling poorly about yourself or about the world after speaking with a negative person? Do you ever find yourself smiling for no good reason after someone has showed you an unexpected kindness? Positive and negative emotions are powerful and they are infectious. Consider how much you could help your loved one’s lives improve simply by thinking positively yourself, and let the snowball effect begin!

How Would You Like To Super Size Your Life?

Can’t Take Credit For This One! …content was taken from website below

I found this post today because someone sent me an email with a link to it. I will give credit where credit is due…the following post came from this blog & truthfully there are a few really good posts, worthy of reading :

How Would You Like To Super Size Your Life?

No doubt, you have heard the term ‘Super Size’ from McDonald’s. Why not take that concept when it comes to your life? Life is filled with choices…why not choose to live life in a more satisfying way?

Make The Impossible…Possible! “The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.”- Winston Churchill

Listening to your inner critic can sabotage your dreams. Silence the critic by reaffirming all the things you are capable of doing. Dream big and be excited about your future. It is possible to get through the difficult times in life. Learn from failures and take responsibility for your life. If you think it can’t happen…then it won’t. Take the necessary actions to achieve your goals!

Love Yourself And Others Unconditionally!
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs…..” I Corinthians 13: 3, 5)

To love unconditionally means to love without judging. Allow those you love to express themselves without fear of rejection. Do not punish yourself or your loved ones for past mistakes. Take the time to be responsible in how YOU show love. Allow yourself to love and to be loved.

Say Yes To Life!
“Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact.” -Henry James

When you say yes to life, it allows wonderful blessings to come to you. Say yes to opportunity and success. Say yes to a life that you live by YOUR standards. Say yes to making your own decisions and not seeking approval of others. Say yes to a promising
future. Say yes to living without guilt, resentment or regrets. Say yes to living an authentic life. Say yes to taking chances and freeing yourself from fear. Say yes to happiness and to every achievement.

Make Your Life Really Count! “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.” – Annie Dillard

How do you want to be remembered? What is your legacy? The life you live defines who you are and the choices you make will determine what impact you will have on the lives of others. Never underestimate the power of your words and actions. Surround yourself with people who are supportive, positive and encouraging. Show appreciation and gratitude to those around you. Starting today, have a new perspective on life!

Take Risks! “There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” – Anais Nin

Everything in life involves a risk. Are you allowing fear of rejection and failure to dictate your life? Fear inhibits success. Take chances and free yourself from limiting beliefs. Taking risks empowers you to take charge of your life. Step out of what is safe, comfortable and familiar to you. Embrace the unknown and ANTICIPATE success!

Hanging Onto A Positive Mindset Is A Tough Thing To Do

Developing a mindset of a millionaire is certainly no easy feat.. It takes a lot of diligence to keep on pushing on when it seems as though the world is crashing down all around you. I know exactly what you are going through, believe me!

It was not long ago that I lost my job, due to outsourcing. I had been with the company for over 20 years. I found myself middle aged AND unemployed…with a mortgage to pay. Unemployment only lasts so long, then you are forced to take a job that pays less than one third of your old job. Optimistic, I was not!

However, things have a way of working out ONLY if you keep a positive attitude. You have got to be grateful for what you have right now…no matter how bad you may think that you have it. In order to move forward and towards a better life, you must first appreciate the life that you have. There are thousands, upon thousands of people who would LOVE to have the life that you have.

Another important point to make is that YOU and only you are responsible for the life that you are living. I know, I know…I wondered how I managed to bring about an outsourced job. But, as soon as I admitted my part in that, I was able put it behind me and and move closer to my ultimate destination. You have to keep the blame, guilt, fear, and every other negative emotion in check. It can be done…but it takes a lot of patience with yourself and others. Go ahead and give it a try, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!
